Celia Wird and her three sisters are just like other twentysomething girls—with one tiny exception: They are the products of a curse that backfired and gave each of them unique powers that made them, well, a little weird.…

After Celia Wird and her sisters help master vampire Misha save his family, their powers are exposed to the supernatural community of the Lake Tahoe region. But fame comes at a price, and being “weird” isn’t always welcome.

To make matters worse, Celia desires the love of Alpha werewolf Aric, but his pack is bent on destroying their relationship to preserve his pureblood status. And once weres start turning up dead—with evidence pointing to the vampires—she must face the prospect of losing Aric forever. But the chaos only masks a new threat. An evil known as the Tribe has risen—and their sights are set on Celia and her sisters.

This one picks up where the first book ended - with about two weeks passing - and Celia is getting on with life while wondering why Aric has disappeared from it while his pack mates are still coming around to see her sisters. He does eventually turn up and after a long discussion they reveal their feelings for the other but Aric tells her his Elders don't agree with him dating someone who isn't a true were. They decide to ignore that part when it becomes clear that something dark and evil has been killing men and impregnating women with its young in the local area. Celia asks Misha - the vampire Lord she saved previously - if he knows anything that could help and things take an unexpected turn when something begins to kill vampires and weres alike, taking Celia and her sisters as prisoners in the process. Luckily they have a big band of people who will do anything to save them.

So...it's been a while since I read book one of this series - Sealed With A Curse - towards the end of 2019 - but I remembered enough of Celia and Aric and her sisters for me to sink quickly into this one. I love these characters so much. They're quirky, snarky and can really kick arse in their own individual way.

This one threw me into an emotional wringer and enjoyed making me cry, angry, cry again, want to throw my Kindle in anger and cry some more. I have really grown attached to these sisters and the pack so it really did almost rip my heart out at several scenes.

I have the third book in paperback and really need to read it to see where this goes next because I really want all the sisters to get their guys and be happy. I think they deserve it.
