Description:

I thought I hated not fitting in. Turns out I hate having a target on my back even more.

Someone wants me taken out. To accomplish that, they leaked the secret of my magic to all the Packs in the Midwest. Now, almost every Alpha in the region has traveled to my hometown in hopes of convincing me to join their Pack.

And some of them don’t seem to think I should have a choice.

Greyson won’t stand for that—something he makes deadly clear to the other Alphas. What they don’t know is that I’m his long missing mate. But wolves and hunters are enemies, and my hunter magic blocks me from accepting the bond…even though I’m starting to wish I could.

Our incomplete mate bond is a constant drain on Greyson. Its existence puts him in danger—something he stubbornly ignores.

But as risky as our bond is, I have to stay focused on the biggest threat at the moment.

Whoever shared the secret of my powers wants to destroy our Pack. And we’re about to find out how far they’ll go to make that happen.

Review:

I jumped straight into this after finishing book 2!

This starts a little after the last ended with Pip trying to avoid being alone with Greyson and trying to pretend nothing has changed by doing her usual routine of sneaking into the wolf den so she can take a photo of Greyson's schedule - for the visitng female wolves and all that - but is caught in the act by Greyson himself.  A little later, Hector phones to tell her that her secret of being a Wolf's Kiss is out and that every wolf pack in the country will be interested in meeting her and trying to persuade her to leave. It's only when things get a little out of hand that Pip must make a decision about her future and the pack she's come to love - including Greyson.

I actually really enjoyed this one. It's the last book and everything needed to be wrapped up and it was - to my satisfaction, too! We found out who was behind the leaks and why. We saw Greyson and Pip as a couple (for a little bit of time anyway). We saw the pack as a complete unit with all the added people who Pip and co had collected as friends and family. 🠜The last part has got to be my favourite scene from the book, maybe the entire series.

I'm not going to go into any more details than the ones above because it would totally spoil it but this series - and the other trilogy I read involving the vampires - are really well written with likeable characters and I can't recommend them enough. I'm going to hunt out other books by this author now.
