Description:

Supernatural Squad might be small, but we're growing in power. The vampires and werewolves of London are beginning to respect me more and I feel like I know what I'm doing - even if I don't yet understand what I truly am.

Unfortunately, there might be a few snags to deal with. I'm trying to avoid Lord Horvath, the black-eyed vampire leader who seems intent on a more intimate relationship. There's also Devereau Webb, who runs a small criminal syndicate and has offered me a mysterious gift that I'm certain I don't want. And across the span of one single day, supernatural hell breaks loose across the city of London.

A suicidal vampire has climbed up the London Eye.

Three werewolves have hijacked a tourist bus.

This might prove to be the longest day of my life.

Review:

Borrowed this from the KU Library.

This starts with Emma nipping down to see her uncle to see if he can tell her more about her parents, especially now that she's learning more about what she is, and he tells her he'll send anything he finds to her in London. Driving back into London, she gets a call about a suicidal vampire on the London Eye and then about werewolves hijacking a tourist bus. Things may not be as straight forward as they seem, though.

This did pull me in from that first phone call about the vamp climbing the London Eye. It was definitely a bit of what the heck's going on? But the more I read, the more I was interested in who was behind it all and then something happened that had me wanting to throw my Kindle across the room. Luckily Emma had a solution - a mystery one - that actually worked out better than she'd thought and she ends up reliving the last 12 hours, trying to figure out the best way to stop everything that goes wrong.

Considering this book is pretty much Groundhog Day for most of it, I actually didn't mind. I was interested in how Emma would solve the mystery of the days events.

Add in her still growing relationship with Lukas, which progresses quite nicely after the events that made me want to throw my Kindle, and I was really enjoying this.

I can't wait for book 4 to come out!
