So I've recently found Smashbomb after several ads during games I play on my phone so I thought I'd give it a go. It's an app and website where you can join a community of reviewers who share their opinions on books, movies, music, video games, apps and other stuff.
Admittedly I haven't been on the app long but it's turning out to be quite fun, though it still needs a lot of items adding to its database so don't be disheartened if you can't find something, add it, like I'll be doing from now on when I read a new book that's not listed.
You can earn points for rating/reviewing and other people liking it. You can follow people who like the same things as you. There are also competitions where you can win stuff for free in the above mentioned categories.
It reminds me a little of Goodreads - which I use all the time for new book recommendations, reviews from friends, etc - only this is centred around all the other types of media:
